Digital dentistry has come along way since it first started. Utilizing digital dentistry can be challenging to dentists as this technology is not yet adapted in dental schools. This lecture will take a look at the current literature and show cases in utilizing full digital workflow in prosthodontic field and how the use of digital workflow can significantly improve both patients and clinicians experience.
Digital dentistry has come along way since it first was introduced 1980s. In the past 10 years the field has leaped and passed beyond the scope of analog dentistry. In the Prosthodontics in specific, digital workflow has opened new horizons to provide patients and clinicians alike with capabilities that made the journey of prosthodontic treatment more predictable and comfortable. with the use of this emerging and ever evolving technologies the patient can now tap into the future and predict with almost 90% accuracy of the current treatment he will be inbarking on. From single crown to full mouth implant rehabilitation, the use of digital dentistry had made clinicians be more accurate and efficient at the same time with more predictable and favorable outcome when using the tools available in digital workflow.
